At New Season Treatment Center, our mission has always been to help individuals heal their minds, bodies, and spirits from opioid addiction—and today, we are proud to announce another exciting step forward. Please join us in welcoming Janina McClain as our new Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) Quality Assurance Specialist.

Her leadership arrives at a perfect time, building on the success of the initial launch of the New Season IOP at our West Palm Beach center on November 20, 2023. That program marked a groundbreaking shift in how we deliver care, offering structured, enhanced support for patients seeking a less restrictive, yet deeply effective level of treatment. Currently, 41 New Season treatment centers are actively offering IOP services, with another 20+ centers preparing to roll out programs in the near future. Now, with Janina’s expertise and vision, our IOP is poised to grow even stronger nationwide.

Why IOPs Are Critical in Treating Opioid Use Disorder

While New Season has a long history of providing evidence-based Medications for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD) services, the addition of an IOP represents a significant evolution. IOPs provide:

  • More therapy hours: including individual, group, and family sessions.
  • Enhanced emotional support: focusing on mental health stressors and crisis intervention.
  • Increased structure: while still allowing patients to continue working, caring for their families, and living at home.

Our IOPs were carefully designed to meet the complex needs of individuals who might otherwise require hospitalization—or those aiming to prevent more intensive interventions altogether.

Each patient receives a personalized, well-rounded treatment plan that focuses on:

  • Wellness Education: Building physical and emotional balance.
  • Recovery Education: Strengthening coping skills and social functioning.
  • Resiliency Education: Identifying and growing personal strengths.
  • Family Education Counseling: Addressing family dynamics to promote healing.

From the beginning, the Intensive Outpatient Program was designed to empower patients to heal, grow, and thrive—enabling them to contribute positively to their communities and families. And that’s exactly what we continue to do—patient by patient, day by day.

Meet Janina McClain: A New Season of Excellence

Bringing 13 years of experience in trauma and substance use treatment, Janina McClain is ideally suited to lead New Season’s IOP expansion. She holds a Master’s Degree in Forensic Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology and has been a Licensed Mental Health Counselor for over a decade.

Her background includes:

  • Starting as an Outpatient Therapist and advancing to Clinical Director at a residential center.
  • Designing and refining program schedules to meet patients’ evolving needs.
  • Working closely with utilization review teams to advocate for patient access to the best possible care.
  • Specializing in advanced therapeutic techniques as an EMDR, Brainspotting, and Perinatal Mental Health therapist.
  • Serving as a Qualified Supervisor for aspiring clinicians.

In her new role as IOP Quality Assurance Specialist, Janina will:

  • Oversee clinical operations across IOP sites.
  • Ensure compliance with the highest standards of care.
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams—medical directors, nurses, program directors, and counselors—to ensure every patient’s clinical needs are met.
  • Provide clinical supervision and conduct ongoing training.
  • Review patient records and deliver continual quality improvements.

Her approach is patient-centered, compassionate, and empowering. “I enjoy engaging in meaningful conversations with patients, fostering a safe space for them to explore their feelings and encouraging long-lasting recovery,” Janina says.

More About Janina

When she’s not championing recovery, Janina is a proud mom to three children and a Chiweenie dog she’s had since her days living in Chicago. A true Disney kid at heart, she loves visiting the parks with her family and traveling whenever she can. Her warmth, energy, and commitment to healing make her a natural fit for New Season’s mission.

Expanding Access to Care

As our IOP services grow, so does our commitment to accessibility:

  • Insurance coverage is available through Medicare, Medicaid, and most commercial plans.
  • Patients aged 18 and older with a primary opioid use disorder diagnosis are welcome.
  • We offer convenient hours and accessible locations to make recovery possible for everyone.

For 35+ years, New Season Treatment Centers have delivered care grounded in dignity, compassion, and evidence-based practices. We believe in each patient’s potential—and with leaders like Janina McClain now steering our Intensive Outpatient Program, the future is bright.
