New Season ‘Goes Purple’ for Recovery in September

National Recovery Month

The team at New Season is getting ready for National Recovery Month, occurring for the 30th year this September to increase awareness and understanding of mental and substance use disorders and celebrate the people who recover.

“Millions of Americans are building a life in recovery. Inspire a million more,” the website furnished by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) reads.

New Season treats approximately 25,000 patients recovering from opioid use disorder at across 75 locations nationwide. The treatment centers will each choose various ways to celebrate their patients next month.

Last year, the New Season treatment teams hosted many heartfelt activities to celebrate their patients, to include hosting patient appreciation days, educating city council members and speaking at conferences to educate others.

This year’s National Recovery Month — the theme, “Join the Voices for Recovery: Together We Are Stronger” — is shaping up to be the best one yet. New Season has rewarding events in store for patients and the communities where the treatment centers reside! Check back for updates.

In preparation of National Recovery Month, consider checking out the videos produced by SAMHSA to “spread the message of collective strength”:

One video documents people who have recovered from mental and substance abuse disorders.

Another video shows how support can empower those living in recovery and help individuals achieve their recovery goals.

New Season is proud to be a leading source of recovery for patients with opioid use disorder. To learn more, call 1-877-284-7074 or write newseason@cmglp.com
