New Season Treatment Center is expanding access to opioid addiction care this summer with the upcoming launch of its second mobile treatment unit in Greensboro, N.C.

Modeled after the organization’s successful mobile unit in Portland, Oregon, the Greensboro-based unit will serve as an extension of the Greensboro Treatment Center, delivering daily Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) and telehealth  services directly to patients in underserved areas of Guilford County and surrounding communities.

Set to hit the road this summer, the Greensboro mobile unit will operate with an initial stop at Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church, located at 200 N. Regan Street. This strategic partnership reflects a shared commitment to serving vulnerable and underserved populations in the region. Additional stops will be added to the daily route in the future to reach more individuals in need.

“We are excited to be able to impact the community in a new way,” Matthew Ruffner, the Senior Regional Director of Operations for the Carolinas, said.

“We have been honored to serve Guilford County through our Greensboro Treatment Center, and this new mobile unit allows us to reach even more individuals in need—especially those who have been unable to access treatment due to transportation or geographic barriers.”

Like its Portland predecessor, the Greensboro mobile unit is equipped with two dosing windows for convenient daily medication administration and will offer virtual counseling services to ensure patients receive holistic care. With plans to provide in-person crisis counseling in the future, the mobile unit serves as a fully functioning extension of the Greensboro Treatment Center.

“We know the need is great—and growing,” Preston Evans, Program Director of Greensboro Treatment Center, said. “This mobile unit is an opportunity to go where the need is, to meet patients where they are, and to bring compassionate, high-quality treatment directly to the community. That’s what recovery should look like—accessible and equitable.”

This launch reinforces New Season’s ongoing commitment to removing barriers to opioid addiction treatment and meeting patients with care, dignity, and respect—wherever they are in their recovery journey.
