At New Season Treatment Center, we believe that the strength of our organization comes from the growth and development of our people. That is why we are proud to announce that we have obtained STAR Certification in 95% of our treatment centers, a milestone that underscores our commitment to supporting our team members through education, training, and career advancement.

The Substance Use Disorder Treatment and Recovery Loan Repayment Program (STAR LRP), supported by HRSA, provides loan repayment assistance for behavioral health professionals working in substance use disorder treatment. Now that New Season is a certified STAR-approved organization, our clinicians working in treatment centers can apply for tuition reimbursement through this program.

While the 2025 application window has closed, our certification means that current and future team members will be eligible to apply for the 2026 cycle. This provides a unique opportunity for those considering a career with New Season to join a team that actively invests in their professional development and long-term success.

“We are committed to being a learning organization where career pathways are clear, supported, and celebrated. Achieving STAR certification reinforces our promise to current and future team members that New Season is not just a place to work – it’s a place to grow,” said Dr. Jason Brooks, Senior Vice President of People Experience at New Season.

Linking Learning with Hiring

Our approach to workforce development goes beyond certification. Through clinical and medical internships, apprenticeship pilots, and partnerships like the Center for Addiction Studies, we are building a robust pipeline of talent that allows new team members to step into meaningful careers with the training and support they need to succeed.

  • Clinical & Medical Internships: Agreements with 61 colleges and universities nationwide have already placed dozens of students, with several converting into full-time employees.
  • NABH Apprenticeship Pilot: Innovative apprenticeship programs are creating entry points for future milieu managers, CDTs, and counselors.
  • Center for Addiction Studies Partnership: Certification-based education provides professional development and career pathways in hard-to-fill roles.

All of these initiatives culminate in measurable results: a stronger team, greater career progression opportunities, and improved care for our patients.

Recruitment and Growth at AATOD 2024

As we continue to expand our workforce, we are excited to share this message at the upcoming AATOD Conference in Philadelphia (Oct. 4–8). Our team will not only be recruiting new talent at our booth but also presenting on critical topics such as take-home medication, mobile treatment units, and innovative approaches to patient care. This is a perfect opportunity to showcase how New Season is leading the way in treatment while also highlighting our dedication to supporting the professionals who make our work possible.

We are sending top-tier talent from across our workforce to deliver poster presentations and oral presentations, and support our conference booth to connect with prospective team members. In addition, New Season is proud to sponsor a luncheon that will bring together thought leaders and practitioners from across the industry.

This broad participation allows us to showcase how New Season is leading the way in treatment innovation, workforce development, and professional support, while also highlighting the many opportunities available for those seeking a meaningful career in addiction treatment.
