New Season celebrates National Recovery Month September 2018.<\/p><\/div>\n

At the more than 70 New Season<\/a> locations across the U.S., we\u2019re actively participating in National Recovery Month<\/a> by hosting a Patient Appreciation Day at each of the treatment centers<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Each of the centers is celebrating patients in a variety of fun ways that recognizes patients for their achievements in recovery. The treatment center teams enjoyed planning a unique patient event by decorating their facility, serving food, raffling prizes, hosting fun activities and inviting guest speakers.<\/p>\n

\u201cRecovery is real. It happens every day,\u201d wrote SAMHSA<\/a>, the U.S. agency charged with managing substance abuse and mental health. \u201cMillions of people are in recovery, sharing hope, help and support. However, many more are still in need of treatment and recovery services.\u201d<\/p>\n

We at New Season agree. Join us in sharing inspirational messages that may serve as a glimmer of hope to those recovering from opioid use disorder.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s a top 5 list of activities we\u2019ve curated in recognition of National Recovery Month<\/a>.<\/p>\n

1.<\/strong> Watch the TV ad, \u201cVoices for Recovery<\/a>,\u201d that delivers real words of encouragement from individuals in recovery to those seeking help; or view another television ad, \u201cr is for Recovery<\/a>,\u201d that helps build and support a community of hope\u2014portraying recovery as a point of pride.<\/p>\n

2.<\/strong> Check out the collection of personal recovery stories<\/a> on YouTube that offers hours of candid accounts from real-life survivors.<\/p>\n

3.<\/strong> Browse through the writings of professional addiction counselors, like this compelling column, that notes substance abuse disorder may not be \u201ccured,\u201d but it is possible to recover.<\/p>\n

4.<\/strong> Share your own personal story<\/a> of triumph to inspire and educate others.<\/p>\n
